We’re developing a new series of sermon-based Pulse Groups.  Discussion questions for each week’s sermon will be posted here, then members will get together during the week to talk about those questions, as well as any other thoughts they have on the sermon.   If you’re not able to be in church that Sunday,  or you want to listen again, we’ll have the sermons posted on YouTube and links will be posted here.

These groups will begin meeting the week of Sept 17; you’re welcome to join the groups at any time.

The videos will be hosted on our Facebook page, as well as the Lifeline Church YouTube channel,

Tuesday nights at 6 – meet at Jan Newton’s house, with Linda Sullivan leading the group.

Tuesday nights at 6:00 – meet at the church, led by Jeff and Taylor Clayton

Current Sermon

May 25 sermon here

LUKE 18:35-43

1 — Have you ever said “I know that person” when really you knew very little other than maybe a name of vocation?

2 — What does knowing someone mean to you?

3– The crowd of people were following Jesus. They saw Jesus as the ‘Man from Nazareth”. We mentioned this indication they knew about or had heard about Jesus. Do you think most people have this kind of knowledge of Jesus? Why or why not.

4 — Are we sometimes reluctant to share Jesus with people who need Him because we do not know enough about Him? If so, what do we need to do?

5 — The blind man was crying out for Jesus. How do we see people doing the same today?

6 —  Have you ever met a physical need and not shared Jesus with that person? If so, why?

7 — Jesus commanded the crowd to bring the blind man to him. Read Matthew 28:19-20. In this familiar passage, what do you see Jesus telling his followers to do? (I see at least 4)

8 — What promise does Jesus give his followers in Matthew 28:18-20?

9 — Have you ever led someone to Christ? If so, would you share that experience with your group?

10 — Would you be willing to commit to sharing Jesus with one person next week? If not, would you be willing to learn how to share Jesus with others?

5– Did that doubt cause a lack of Peace?

6– Read Moses’ song in Exodus 15. When they had approached the Red Sea they had doubts. What did experiencing God in the midst of those doubts do for them?

Apr 6 sermon here

1– What is something that hinders you from accomplishing daily tasks that you need to do?  What do you do to try to remove the hindrance?

3 – Have you ever put down what burdened you only to pick it back up again? Why?

4– Considering our text, what is the difference between a burden and a sin?

7– A quote from Sunday’s lesson was “If we are not very careful we can get tangled up in sin. And when we do, it will take us down a road we never thought we would travel! It will take us where we thought we would never go!. And it will keep us longer than we ever thought we would stay!” Would you agree with that statement? Why or why not?

8– What tends to distract you the most and keeps you from ‘fixing your eyes on Jesus?’

9– Jesus was our example by fixing his eyes on the Father’s will for his life. Everything he did or did not do was leading him to the cross as the perfect sacrifice. What is the race God has for you right now? As you answer that question, think of something you feel led to do or feel the need to do in your life to move forward in your faith walk. Maybe praying in a group or sharing Jesus with someone?
