We’re developing a new series of sermon-based Pulse Groups.  Discussion questions for each week’s sermon will be posted here, then members will get together during the week to talk about those questions, as well as any other thoughts they have on the sermon.   If you’re not able to be in church that Sunday,  or you want to listen again, we’ll have the sermons posted on YouTube and links will be posted here.

These groups will begin meeting the week of Sept 17; you’re welcome to join the groups at any time.

The videos will be hosted on the Lifeline Church YouTube channel.

Tuesday nights at 6 – meet at Jan Newton’s house, with Linda Sullivan leading the group.

Wednesdays at 6 – meet at Adam and Ashley Keith’s house, with Aaron Ledbetter leading.

Wednesdays at 6:30 – Daniel Autrey leads a group at his house.

Current Sermon

Jan 12 2025 sermon here

Here are some questions for this week.

1– We fail in our efforts to live for Jesus when we forget who we are in Christ, and try to live for Hi. on our own. What does 1 Cor 6:14 and Romans 6:4 tell us about the new us?

2– What is something you do everyday that is a result of the desires of your heart? Is it a result of a heart that is set on the things above?

3 — How would having a heart that is set on the things above change what you do everyday?
THOUGHT for leaders as example — May be motivated by our desire for our children to be successful in life. How would that change if our hearts were set on the things above? Would we be teaching them more about being a follower of Jesus than being popular?

4 — How does what we come into contact with everyday affect the desires of our hearts? What does Paul say about this in 2 Corinthians 4:18? What can we do about it?

5 — What is something you find yourself thinking about each day? Is it something “from above” or “something from below”? What does Paul say about this in Phil 3:19?

6– As followers of Jesus, what does Hebrews 11:13 and 1 Peter 2:11 tell us about our time on earth? How does understanding that cause a shift in our mindset?

7 — We closed with Galatians 2:20. Read that VS slowly at least three times. Can we say the same thing?

Here are some questions for this lesson this week.

1– What is something that other people have seen as a strength in your life or something others say you do well?

2– What is something you enjoy doing or that brings a feeling of fulfillment in your life?

3– When was the last time you did something as an act of service for someone else? How did serving someone else make you feel?

4– When was the last time you did something in an effort to be a representative of Christ to someone?

5– None of us will ever be perfect. Is there an area of your life God has convicted you to fully surrender to Christ so you can go from “good” to “best”?

6– Can you think of a time in your life when difficult circumstances enabled you to be a witness for Christ? What about a time when you were at the right place and just the right time in someone else’s life? How did you respond?
